I am deeply proud of my daughter Danielle. She has matured into the an amazing mother. Her children, and her family are her primary focus in life. She is at once nurturing and protective, each in good measure.
She pours every ounce of energy into her boys literally and figuratively. It's not a superficial effort for appearance's sake; I've watched her spend months researching schools for the boys, and I've seen her in the grocery store reading labels line by line to make sure her boys are eating healthy, organic foods.
She works hard to protect them from the violence and vulgarity prevalent in popular culture. She strictly moderates their exposure to television, and she knows what they're watching before they watch it. So-called 'children's programming' does not get a pass; if characters on screen are unkind or insensitve (perhaps calling someone or something "stupid") that program is banned.
